1.    Visiting Instructor, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. Nov 1983 to Dec 1988.

2.     Survey Camp Instructor University of Moratuwa, Sri  Lanka, and at Sri Lanka Construction Industry Training Project of the  International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the World Bank.

3.    Visiting Instructor in the subject of Strength of Materials at Technician Training Institute, Katunayake, Sri Lanka, in 1986 and 1987,

12.Resource Person on the subject public procurement for Master of Public Management conducted by (Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA) in collaboration of National Procurement Agency (NPA)

13.Served as a representative of Industry in preparing National Competency Standards for Technical Education Development Project on the subject Construction Technology under the Ministry of Tertiary Education and Vocational Training.

Some other professional contributions made to Technology/Engineering Field

1.      Presented Sri Lanka, country paper at the Apex body meeting of SAARC Diploma Engineers Forum held in BMICH, Colombo in 2001.

2.      Preparation of presentation and edited a book on “Project Pipeline” on behalf of Chairman, RDA presented at INTRAD investor forum held at BMICH, Colombo in 2003.

3.      Wrote an article on “Globalisation of Road Sector in Sri Lanka” for a Japanese Magazine on behalf of Secretary, MoH., published in 2003.

4.      Compiled an article on “Road Development Authority, Sri Lanka” on behalf of General Manager, RDA which was published in the Magazine published to mark the SAARC summit held at Pakistan in 2003.

5.      Delivered a presentation on "Project Pipeline" at the Workshop organised as a part of Capacity Building Programme by NCASL under Re-engineering Programme funded by ADB in March 2005.

6.   Delivered a presentation on RDA and its functions at the Training Programme conducted in collaboration with JICA for JICA Experts to be sent to various developing countries. etc.

7.      Published an article in the “Incorporated Engineer” journal on “An overview of  Selected Transport Sector Issues in Sri Lanka” in 2007

8.      Published an article on “Transport and Highways: The Catalyst for Development” – An overview of Sri Lankan context in 2008 to mark AGM of the IIESL, UAE branch in Nov. 2008.

9.      Published an article on “Southern Expressway – A new gateway to south” in the “Incorporated Engineer” journal in 2008

·         Used to mentor young members of the NTC staff and RDA staff towards their career development

·         Mentoring students and Associate members of IESL and IIESL towards their Corporate Membership in the field of Transport and Highways

·         Provide assistance to the students, under graduates and research students of varies Institutions such as UoM, UoP, SLIIT, NIBM, NPA by way of supervising research projects, guiding & providing information etc.
